Hiatus with more signs of a hiatus...

Artist: Elena Schweitzer

Yes, it's been a long time since I've blogged. I suppose I haven't much to say as my writing has been as a standstill as the brain fog of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome continues in my life. While I've been able to design some covers as HelzKat Designs (at a low output), I haven't been able to focus to work on fiction.

I have managed to work on posts for the DarkSide DownUnder blog because it's other people's good news and I'm not 'creating' it as such. That lifts me up and I've allowed myself just to enjoy other people's successes without trying to force myself to write when I'm not ready.

When I do design the pre-made covers, l come up with a little snippet of a story.  Perhaps the first step back is noting these snippets down.

I tend to be on Facebook/Instagram for design and the DarkSiders rather than as my writing self. I'm trying to streamline my time there and am scheduling posts so I don't get drained, as it can be information overload for me on social media. And if anyone who follows my reading blog will have noticed, I haven't kept that updated either. One reason is that reading has also been affected.

So basically I'm taking each day as it comes but am hopeful for the future. Hope is important.

That's my status. I hope you're all safe and well.

From the cave

It's been a long time between posts.

2020 has been a hell of a year for the world. To be honest I haven't felt like I've had much to say especially since my writing went into a hiatus again. Oh, there's been ruminating on ideas but there's been only a couple of short story first drafts written.

I pop occasionally on social media but I'm only there for quick visits.

I even stopped the DarkSide DownUnder for a bit too. Sometimes you just need a break.

I even took a short break from reading. TV was my entertainment avenue. As was a lot of people's during lockdown.

I'm going through a flare up of the chronic conditions - you know the drill - energy for home and family first followed by everything else.

But I'm back to reading.

Currently reading:
Chocolate and Old Lace (Rosie Hart Mystery #1) by Kaz Delaney (Pssttt... HelzKat Designs designed the cover this) - cozy mystery

Last read:
Gunmetal Magic (Kate Daniels #5.5) by Ilona Andrews - urban fantasy with romantic elements

Next:
Marry in Haste (Marry of Convenience #1) by Anne Gracie -  historical romance

I'm also back organising the DSDU.

I even wrote a blog post about writing flash fiction this week

I'm enjoying on catching up with all the fantastic news from the DarkSiders. It really is great seeing all the names out there and adding to my TBR pile.

Sunday Musing - 2018 so far

So far 2018 has been like the last few years - full of ups and downs.

It's been busy on the home front with renovations on the go and health flare ups. Balance has been difficult but I am slowly chipping away at it all. The fibromyalgia kicks my butt most days than not, but I try to focus on the thing in front of me. Sometimes that distraction doesn't work, so I usually have some afternoon naps to balance me out or take some time out to watch a TV show or two.

I started off the year wonderfully with new pre-made covers but unfortunately I haven't been able to maintain that work.

On the writing front -
  • I submitted The Book That Kept on Going.
  • Completed 3 OWLs (Online courses) via RWAus, though two of them I really didn't participate much. I'm glad I have the information when I need to refer back.
  • Writing Mojo online course (with Juliet Madison) - helped start kicking my butt back into thinking about writing consistently.   Unfortunately I only did a few of the units at the time because I had a CFS crash that lasted a while. Next step is for me to have a read through the rest of the units.
  • I undertook Fiona McIntosh's Signature MasterClass - and it was amazing. Since I've been chipping away at this for a while, I had heard a lot of information before - but having all the information in one place in such an easy to understand matter-of-fact manner was indeed a boon. It was perfect for the complete newbies in the class.  I met some amazing people and hope to cheer them on to publication success.
  • Both the Writing Mojo and MasterClass made me realise that because of my lack of energy, I had been putting pressure on myself to write a clean first drafts. I have never done this, never being my process. Of course, this stifled my creativity. No wonder I couldn't get to my ideas. I have given myself permission to not care and just get the story down. I can always edit.
  • I have about 7,000 words on a new fantasy manuscript. Since this story has been in my head for a long time, I'm giving myself permission to allow it to change.
  • This is not to say the invisible barrier between me and my stories has disappeared. I've struggled to get to writing the last couple of weeks, but I'm taking it as 'time off' that is part of the plan. I have, however, managed to get some words written by hand in a notebook.
  • I've gone to most of the writing meetings so far this year, which going by my one attendance last year is a huge improvement.
  • I'm working in the background on of the DarkSide DownUnder's website and writing up the DarkSider News posts. Again, slower than before but one step at a time.
  • Rebranding and self-publishing is on the back-burner for now.

Swings and roundabouts. Such is life. Such is writing.

Softly softly...

Well it's been a little bit of a turn around with my health. I do have more energy than about a month or so ago, so am grateful. So so grateful. Some energy is better than NO energy. It's always in a state of flux, so I'm hoping that it at least doesn't go backwards. Softly, softly.

Writing
There isn't much to report on the writing front. I continue to slowly do the final go over The-Novel-That-Will-Not-End. At least it's going forward.

My short story, Enchanted is no longer available at the Alfie Dog Fiction site. Unfortunately, the sales weren't there for it to continue and really I didn't push the story enough with life imploding the last few years. Oh, well. I'm thinking of doing a short story anthology with all my short stories but it'll have to go on the list.

Cooking
I've been mainly doing extra cooking as we've had an abundance of green veggies in our garden.

Not being people to let things go to waste, we've cooked some Greek spinach pies and squares, and some quiches.  Enough to keep us out of trouble. We can't overdo it because of health but here is some pictures of tsaitia (the squares).

cheese/spinach squares and cheese only squares ready to be grilled

grilling

Yum yum

Thank goodness for freezers.

DarkSide DownUnder

I have had some energy to get back into the DarkSide DownUnder with a few other lovely volunteers. I'm running the monthly DarkSider News column which I love doing as I get to see all that is happening in the DarkSider world, and I'm also updating the Goodreads and website pages - very slowly.

Come check us out on our blog, website, Facebook page, Twitter, and Goodreads.

That's it from me. Until next time...Yia!

Bleh Bleh Blah - the life of an author with CFS/Fibromyalgia

courtesy of Pixabay
So it's been months since I last posted on here. You guessed it, health got in the way yet again. I had been trialling a new medication that helps some people with fibromyalgia. I gave it a good go by being on it for almost 3 months. But it didn't agree with me so thus began the slow wean off the dratted thing.

I'm getting back to my 'normal' low energy self instead of the zero energy self I found myself as. So even though life can be tough where I'm at, I'm grateful at what I do have as it could easily be less.

Having a long time health condition is a marathon and at times all you want to do is sprint and other times, pitch a tent and not move for a while. That is really the CFS curve. When you find even a little more energy you want to sprint ahead and use it before the norm of less comes back to you. The problem is that the sprint may cause you to go lower than even your normal levels. So it's a juggle and making plans is not easy when the energy levels can change from one moment to the next.

Frustrating?! You bloody bet.

While I'm not 'back' per se, I am feeling better. I'm working in baby steps with all things in my life. The one constant has been reading, thanks in large part to audio books. I've read way more than I would have expected with such a low year. Again, I'm grateful.

One aspect of my life that has suffered is not only writing but my being involved in my writing groups. I haven't been on social  media that often as I find it tires me out quickly and that energy can be spent elsewhere. Goodreads is the place I frequent most often ATM.

Obviously this blog has suffered because as much as I want to, I feel like I don't have much to say other than how I'm feeling and really that can get to be a drag. I occasionally do a post like this to update you all and also in a way to educate people about long term conditions. I know having this condition and having had family with long term conditions has made be more sympathetic to others. Though I have to practice patience at times even with myself.

Be well!

Life and curve balls

courtesy of Pixabay

I started the year off great on my reading blog and then it all fizzled. I've been feeling like I'm on a merry-go-round - with family commitments and health issues. I did break this up with a bit of design work and decluttering, but on the whole it's been of a struggle from February.

Thank goodness for audio books, which has kept my reading going and kept me sane.

This past week I've restarted doing the final polish of the Novel-That-Will-Not-End. Only small steps but I'm grateful for even that.

I'm baby stepping with everything in my life. It helps me achieve things in a manageable way without overwhelming myself. It's been a long time since I've had CFS and Fibromyalgia and still I struggle with trying to do too much on my good days. I want to forge ahead with all my writing and design projects, with housework, with well everything I can think of  - but this will inevitably lead me to be exhausted physically and mentally.

So, baby steps.

In that tradition, I've done a blog post over at Eleni's Library, continuing reviewing my 2016 reading - this time with series that I enjoyed last year.

I'll continue with my final polish work and submit it before working on other projects. My hope is that my creative brain space will be freed up by doing this.

Be well, my blog readers, and hopefully the next post won't be so long in the making.

In the Cave: still limping along...

I've been in my cave the last few weeks - partly getting some editing done, partly dealing with ongoing head/neck aches, partly trying to slowly get rid of clutter (mostly on my computer), partly doing a workshop.

The editing had been put on hold for a little while as my iPad decided not to shut off or on. The Apple logo glared at me accusingly - of what, I do not know. Finally managed to restore it. So I can continue my editing on the iPad. I found that since the iPad is not where I usually edit, I can pick up errors easier there. So I'll be adding that to my rounds of reviewing in future.

I mentioned last post I am enrolled in the Self Publishing online workshop this month and while I have been reading the information and checking out the forums, I haven't been able to concentrate long enough to tackle the instructions thanks to the ongoing head/neck issues.  To say this is really annoying is an understatement. I have been looking forward to this workshop for months. I may not get the full benefit of the course until after it finishes but I'm looking at it at least instead of completely withdrawing.

However, I have taken a break from Facebook for a little bit. As much as I like seeing what others are up to, I'm finding I'm there haphazardly. Same with Twitter. I seem to mainly been on Goodreads at the moment because thanks to audio books especially, I'm still getting reading done. Also I think reading uses a different part of the brain than is needed for editing and for following instructions, so I can concentrate on it a little more. I'll be thinking about what is best for me with regards to social media. I may pop up there from time to time, but I'll probably be in my cave for the rest of the year still trying to get some work and rest happening.

Really that's it from me. I may no longer be fast at getting things done but I'm persistent - some would say freaking stubborn but at least I'm moving forward.

Be well. Yia!

Crap week, 100 books read, and self publishing...oh, my!

It's been one of those weeks. I had so much planned to do but alas my health decided to raise it's hands in the air and say 'nup'.
Love to read! courtesy of Pixabay

And I listened. I rested and listened to books. And repeated the cycle.

In so doing, I've reached 100 books read for the year. Yay!

I've tried to fix a bug on the blog with regards to the links. It's not meant to be underlined nor be blue in colour but I just can't seem to work out why it's like that. I'll eventually work it out or the bug will fix itself but it's damn frustrating.

Okay so what else had I been doing before this week.

I undertook a newsletter course via the Romance Writers of America. I had started a newsletter earlier in the year but really didn't get far with it. I thought it was time to look at it again. Alas, when i looked at it again, I accidentally deleted my contacts! Yes, completely dumb. I thought I had been shifting names between lists and didn't realise my error until a few days later.

If you had signed up to my newsletter before October 2016, please sign up again. I really am sorry for the inconvenience. I promise to be extra careful when looking at the contacts.

I'm currently doing an online course via the Romance Writers of Australia on self-publishing with author, Cathleen Ross. I'm hoping for a re-release of one of one of my Musa Publishing titles. Watch this space!

Oh and I'm polishing a manuscript. It's taking a while as I keep stopping and starting, but I made good progress pre this week.

That's all for me for now!

~Be well. Be happy. Be kind.~

A little bump in the road

It's been a while, I know.

After being busy with dad's one year memorial services in March, I was going to take a small break and then begin my slow road to writing regularly and catching up with some projects.

It started off well- I even managed to do some design work but I found that I was having a downward spiral with my fatigue, pain and general well being. While I've had a few good days and moments, it hasn't been sustainable or consistent. Most days I need a solid sleep in the afternoon as my sleep at night is not restful.

I haven't really been at my computer and usually only skim my emails on my phone. It's very frustrating when there are so many things I'd like to undertake and be consistent on. I have managed  step by slow step to get a couple of projects done at home that have been hanging around for ages.

I'd been thinking I needed to check in a couple of weeks ago and my lack of computer time had this go to the back of my mind. Right now, I'm laying down using an iPhone app to write this. Love that the words pop up so it helps not having to type up each letter of the post.

I have done fly ins to social media but not really been involved. Mainly I have been watching TV and reading. I've borrowed audio books that I can hear on the phone as I rest. And I'm trying to tackle the mountainous to be read pile one book at a time.

I'll keep on keeping on and hope this bump doesn't continue for too much longer.

Stepping back

I had two amazing conferences in August - the Get Fresh in '15 Romance Writers of Australia conference in Melbourne (go team!) and the Love Thrills Romance Writers of New Zealand conference in Auckland.

I spent a lot of time networking and talking to people - catching up with old friends and making new ones, and generally having a great time doing this.

But it also made me realise that it's time for me to step back from major volunteer work. I had mentioned in an earlier post how I had been struggling for a while now. This was brought home to me when I was exhausted really before the conference in Melbourne properly began. I remember thinking 'how am I going to do this for another year?'

The simple answer is that I couldn't. So thanks to the help of some wonderful friends in RWA who had seen my struggles, I have been able to step away from my two major roles in the organisation, keeping only smaller roles to keep me giving back. I'd wanted to continue as I'd given my commitment but in the end the best for everyone was for me to remove myself from the roles and allow people who are fresh at them.

I'm in handover mode and once this is done, I'll be reviewing my writing direction and seeing where best to put my energies. In the meantime, I'm enjoying reading again - I hadn't been able to read as I'd been falling asleep as I was so tired and anything I did read wasn't being absorbed.

All rugged up for an early morning walk in
New Zealand - used to seeing AM from
the other side.
I have also stopped studying for the moment - and really I'll review if I'll go back. I think I garnered what I needed from Tafe and while I didn't earn my qualification, that hadn't been the reason I'd been studying - in fact, I'd gone in with the idea that I wouldn't earn a qualification and study as long as it suited my purpose of developing some design skills to help with HelzKat Designs, which I have. I'm not going on to a design studio so the qualification isn't the important factor. I'd also been there long enough to see the course change and change again that it wasn't the original course I'd signed up for.

The truth of the matter is I have only so much energy and on good days, fabulous, I can do a lot of what I want to achieve, but good days are not my norm. I have okay days on the whole, but CFS and Fibromyalgia can change how I feel from moment to moment. It's not easy to adjust to this- I still struggle after so many years - but every so often, I'm reminded that it's not only okay to rest, but it's absolutely necessary.

I have missed blogging and talking to you all and sharing. So I'll be back online when my time is my own again.

Taking stock...

Hi my lovely blog followers

I'm sorry that I've not been here for months. If you've followed me on Facebook or Twitter, you may know that my father passed away in March.

He hadn't been a well man, fighting cancer as well as dealing with a lot of other health issues. While his pain had increased (his cancer had metastasised to his bones), it was mainly in control and he was still with us in good spirits making jokes, and his mental facilities were all there. He had slowed down quite a bit and while I hadn't been prepared for him to go when he did, his body thought otherwise.

Suffice to say that it's been a difficult path for me and my family since then. And really the last year or so with his ongoing treatment to battle the disease. My life has been about memorial services - we Greeks tend to have a lot of them in the first year - and trying to get back to normal.

But here's the rub, there is no getting back to normal when a parent dies. Especially when you're living in the same house. Dad was a larger than life character and while his antics could make me shake my head at times, cringe at others, and make me mad some instances (as all parents do), I wouldn't have had him any other way. I miss it all.

Dad and me in 2008 when I first got the iMac.
Loved his cheeky grin.
I was ploughing through my to-do lists trying to get some sense of order, but I realised (thanks to dear friends) that I couldn't go on as per normal. That I needed to communicate more and needed to let go of things more. The not letting go was me trying to make things easier for others, so that they didn't feel overwhelmed, but I overwhelmed myself.

So right now, I'm taking stock. Organising myself, clearing the decks, and most importantly, not rushing my grief and my own health. CFS has been another issue as well as increased pain of fibromyalgia. Stress can do that. But if I don't watch out, I will crash and burn and that's something I don't want and something my dad wouldn't have wanted also, having supported me through a number of crashes.

My family have been leaning on each other and my extended family, wow, all I can say is that I love them more than ever. My friends have been there too, each in their own way. Thank you to everyone who sent condolences and has lent support. It has meant the world to me.

Writing? What writing?
There has been no progress in my writing life - my creativity is dried up, and I've not had the energy to edit or be proactive in my career. And for now that's okay. I'm allowing me to heal and allowing me to get my groove back but I have no timeframe of when I will get back to it. We'll see what happens.

Blogging
However, every so often I will start posting posts on my writing friends as my way of giving back to the community and spreading the word about their work.  It will trickle in as I'm conserving energy (for a subject at Tafe, and RWA conferences for this and next year).  But stay tuned for more posts...

Until next time, be well.

A long time between drinks - um - posts

It's been way too long and I apologise. Between study and other commitments, this blog suffered.

And just when I thought I would organise it again - family dramas entered. The sudden death of my cousin from a heart attack floored my whole family in late June. We are still processing this.

As well as my dad's prostate cancer turning more aggressive needing different courses of treatment. We are still dealing with that one as well. Dad's pain is better thanks to radiotherapy and drugs. Thank goodness.

Then came prepping and going to RWA conference. Less on my agenda as I only dealt with sponsorships and music for cocktail party and awards dinner. The conference team were amazing and I actually had chances to have conversations with people. Was a great program with great speakers.

But alas I brought home the post conference lurgy and have been out of commission for a week with it showing no signs of ending soon.

So here I sit in bed and type this with my iPhone.

I leave you with me as a rock chick for the Leather and Lace cocktail party.

Rock on, dudes!

I'm back!

Technically I didn't go anywhere but I haven't blogged in a month!

Where was I?

Study has taken a lot out of time away from other things, especially the household. December ended up being a month of catching up with that as well as prepping for Christmas and then catching up with family and friends.

So have I rested? Um...yes and no. I'm taking the breaks I need for the CFS and had a couple of 'chill' days where I read and watched TV, but now I'm tackling the very long to-do list. You know the one - where for every item you cross off, three things pop up in to take its place. Yep, that one.

Blogging has taken a back seat - actually it is more like it was shoved in the boot (trunk for my US friends). Now I am unpacking it and getting ready to go on the cruise along the 2014 highway with you all.

I am not going to make any resolutions and even though I usually have goals for the new year, I'm going to let things I want to do percolate while I do the catchup.

But of course, writing will be made more of a priority. I've missed storytelling so much and I just need the to kick-start the brain to actually work on a more on this, especially on the creative side - not just the editing side which has been the last couple of years.

And while I'm late....

Have a fantabulous 2014!!

Super Sunday: Where have I been?

I am so sorry that my blog had gone into a longer hiatus than expected. A number of reasons - health, conference, Tafe...everything melded together and my writing and blogging have been the two avenues to suffer the most.

I have missed blogging and all of you. So I'm back!

One thing I do enjoy doing is spending time with the godkids and the boys love watching movies. Ice Age 4 was on the other week and at this scene, I don't think I have laughed so hard for ages.

Hope you had a laugh too.

Have a great week.

Where am I?

You may have noticed my lack of posting recently. Why is that?

This pretty much captures how I'm feeling at the moment.

I've been finding it a struggle to keep up with everything lately and so instead of trying to, I've been taking the rest I need while keeping up with some things that have to get by certain times like my assignments.

That means my writing has been pretty non-existant as well. Poor writing. I'm jotting down my ideas for when I'm feeling better to do the ideas justice.

I hope not too be as long between posts, but please bear with me during this time. Oh, dear, that was an unintended pun :)

Super Sunday - update

So what's happening in my world?

Lots.

Oh, yes, that clarifies things doesn't it?

Designing - I'm working on some exciting projects. Actually I find all projects exciting. I love coming up with a design in conjunction with the client. I've also enrolled at for another year of my Diploma. Again very part time. I think I will be in a walking-frame by the time I finish but hey, I want to learn, have fun AND keep sane.

And I had fun coming up with these for the Wenches....

Writing - I'm getting a short story ready to be self-published. I thought hey, let's dip my toe in the water and check it out. So that's currently being edited, and I'm also getting a cover ready. No need to pay a designer for that. I know someone, you see ;0)

- No news yet on SNOOP's release, but I've gotten everything I need to get ready for before the edits begin.
- I'm getting ready getting promo stuff ready for ARRC. Getting some lovely pens and bookmarks.

Teaching - yep, I'm doing a trial run of the Online Shuffle for a month to see how it goes and work out any kinks. We've just started, so if I'm absent you know why.

Conference - great news - registrations for the Freo - Riding The Waves - is open! Yay. I'll register in the next couple of weeks. I'll be doing the blog spotlights on the conference, so look out for that.

Hearts Talk - I'm having fun being the good news collator. What's better than hearing good news?

Righto, that's it from me. I'll be heading back to the cave. I hope you're enjoying my Musa Mondays and Writing Buddy Wednesdays.

Have a fantabulous week!

Happy New Year!!!

I wanted to wish you all a very amazing new year. May 2013 be full of only good things...

I've been busy with the silly season and have had quite a bit of brain fog, so I haven't been at the computer lately. Thank goodness for scheduled blog posts, which is how those cover posts came to you.

One thing that I have been doing to keep my brain active and not go into a complete funk is Words with Friends. I never really played scrabble as a kid, so it's new thing to me. Shocking, I know.

I'm hoping to continue bringing you Musa Mondays and Writing Buddy Wednesdays throughout the year and do the other posts too but probably less regular on those Tuesday Tunes, Trailer Thursdays, Stunning Saturdays. Really, it will be a matter of what I happen to find during the week and then see if I'll do a post.

While I'm here - is there anything you would like to see more of on the blog? Or even less of?

Thanks heaps for all your support, folks. I hope you continue to follow in 2013.

The joy of brain fog

As you can guess from the title of this post, I am in the midst of some serious brain fog. It's been a struggle the last couple of weeks, but I'm resting up and trying not to put too much pressure on myself. I figure I've had a very busy year and have achieved a lot.

I:

  • went back to study
  • was on the organising committee of Diamonds Are Forever
  • had TWO releases - Enchanted Realms and Gateway to Hell
  • have continued with my design business
  • did two courses at the beginning of the year - time management, and one on senses
  • rejigged my epic fantasy and sent to competitions
and of course there is the usual run around, personal stuff to do.

No wonder my brain is feeling like it's in blanket. :)

I had planned to be further along in catching up with my writing, and I've done some (yay!), but I'm not as far along as I'd like to be.

Warder Tale 2 has more words, but I've come up with a character and a group, and I need to know who and what they are before I move on. So that's been percolating. And percolating is good.

Short stories - I had an old fantasy short story that I didn't have the original computer file, so I typed it up again (thank goodness I had printed it out). As I was doing this, I realised  this has the potential to be  a novelette or a novella. So I want to flesh a couple of things out for that before I write - I know, actual semi-plotting involved. The horror!

Dragon story - I've get to get into this one at all because of the brain fog. So I'm leaving it until after Christmas and hopefully I will be a little more rested. Of course, if I find I have a good day and can work on it, I'll do that, but no pressure.

Before I know it, I'll be back at school with deadlines, and I think I'll take a moment to relish not having any for the moment. Even if it's only for a little while.

The brain fog is telling me to slow down, so I'm listening.

Manic Monday: taking stock

It's Monday. How many of you have Monday-itis? I get this too to some extent even if I do work from home. You know, I really don't get a 'day off'. I'm constantly thinking about story-lines or designs. The brain doesn't switch off.

But on Monday, there's the other paperwork and appointment shuffle that gets added to the mix as I usually have a break from these over the weekend.

I'm on school holidays - makes me sound like a kid - and need to catch up on all the work that I missed out on this term. So I'm writing a schedule to deal with all this. A loose schedule because I know things always come up in the mix. It's why those time management books don't really work for me - if I have a bad CFS or fibromyalgia day, I can't keep up with a full schedule. It's why I'm home working and not in an office somewhere.

I'm taking stock of what I need to do, what I would like to do, and those things that I've been putting off for a while, or never seem to get to it.

I am hopeless at keeping to time limits. Though I've been getting good on Facebook with this, but when I get into a project, I seem to let time slide away. So, it's time to put time limits on things and stick to them.

So wish me luck on this Manic Monday as I attempt to put a certain flexible routine into my life. :)

And each week will not be a Manic Monday post. On every second Monday, I'll be hosting a fellow Musa authors on my blog, and you guessed it it will be called Musa Monday. I am SOOOO imaginative. But it does have a certain ring to it, right? *wink*

Manic Monday - oh so tired

I'm having a dip in energy levels at the moment and so I haven't been online as much.

This week, I have been doing notes for my workshop at the Romance Writers of Australia's Diamonds Are Forever conference.

As well as working on the cocktail party costume. One hint: gold. Oh, and check out the Conference spotlight that I was in.

I finished up doing some design work. Check out Maggie Mundy's site here.

And have been trying to rest to be honest, though I'm not feeling rested. I go back to study this week, so hoping that this term is not so frantic as the last one.

One woohoo this week - I got my first royalty payment! So excited! Thanks Musa.

Reminder - I'm at Writing with Scissors with a giveaway copy of Enchanted Realms. An apt date of Friday the 13th....mohooohooohooooaaaa *cough, splatter *.

I'll be at Long & Short Reviews on the 19th, and the Musa blog on the 21st. I will try and remember to put up links on those dates.
