I do love the Bond films - Sean is the old favourite but I loved Pierce Bronsan thinking he should be Bond from his Remington Steele days, and I'm enjoying Daniel Craig's performance too - as well as the over the top action.
Do you have a favourite bond?

Yep, I'm a tad excited about The Hobbit movie coming up. They've got a new trailer and it looks magical, and brings Middle Earth to life.

Trailer Thursday: RED
RED has a who's who of the best actors - Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich (who steals the show), Helen Mirren, Brian Cox (who is funny as an ex-Russian agent), Ernest Borgnine, Richard Dreyfuss, Mary-Louise Parker and Karl Urban.
It's based on a comic book but I'd never heard of it before. I should track it down.

Trailer Thursday: Snow White & The Huntsman
I went to watch this week, and I must say I throughly enjoyed it.
I liked the darkness of this telling. There was a Joan of Arcish feel as a friend pointed out, and it was interesting to Christianity in it, which I can't recall in a Snow White tale before. So it made it seem more like a forgotten land in our world, if that makes sense, rather than a purely fairytale land.
So a great night...right up to the point where I stumbled in the car park. Yes, ouch is the word.

Trailer Thursday: Monsters University
After 11 years, we have a sequel to Monsters, Inc. Actually it's a prequel. It shows Sully and Kowalski in their college days, and it looks like it's going to be fun.
Can't wait to see Monsters University.

I love animated films.
What about you? Are you a fan of animated films?

Trailer Thursday: Brave
There is something magical about animation movies. I've loved them since I was a child, but now as technology improves, they can be even more magical. This trailer shows just such a film.
Brave looks like a fun adventure, all with Scottish accents, including Billy Connolly's. And of course, I love the idea of a heroine rising above what people think she should do. I love the tag line as well 'Change your fate.'

I was put onto the trailer of this film by Tracey O'Hara (thanks, Tracey). Looks like my kind of movie.

Super Sunday
I'm a fan of the Men in Black films. I love humour added to my sci-fi, and the first two films did this so well. Now, there's a third film in the franchise. I didn't even though this was being filmed, so it was a nice surprise to see the trailer. Which being the kind person I am (hic), I've added for your viewing pleasure.

And for a little giggle....
Have a great week. Try and avoid the stresses of the pre-Christmas/holiday rush.

Childhood memories
Da-na-na-na....
Doo-doo-doorooroo.
Yes, the Muppets are back! A new movie is coming soon. I had a little giggle when watching the trailer.
Ah, the Muppets - childhood memories of watching them on TV. Gotta love that Miss Piggy.
I think this is a good way to start the week.

Marilyn Monday
I've just seen the trailer for a new UK film called My Week With Marilyn.
How hard it must have been to be her, despite her always, cheery public face. To always to be expected to be 'Marilyn' instead of Norma Rae.
And what a huge role for Michelle Williams to play.
I have also seen co-star Eddie Redmayne in other projects recently (The Pillars of the Earth, and Tess of the D'Urbevilles). A talent to be watched, and notice he's been in quite a few good films of late.
