Super Sunday: Sassy Gay Friend

It's been a while since I had quotes from the Quotable Bitch...

"I’m wonderful at playing bitches."
~Elizabeth Taylor

"I love playing bitches. There’s a lot of bitch in every woman- a lot in every man."
~ Joan Crawford

"After all, God made man and then said: I can do better than that – and made woman."

~Adela Rogers St Johns

Which brings me to.....

The Sassy Gay Friend is back. I just love the concept that tragedy could be avoided if they had a sassy gay friend. :) In this case, it's Eve.

The Quotable Bitch....

Some of you may remember at the beginning of the year, I mentioned having a calendar called The Quotable Bitch. Well here's some quotes for you - make of them what you will (sometimes I wonder about the context).

"Poor George [Bush], he can't help it. He was born with a silver foot in his mouth."
 ~Ann Richards, Governor of Texas

LOL! Priceless!

"I'm the nicest goddamn dame that ever lived."
~Bette Davis, actress

"How wonderful. We are so thrilled that Joan has learned how to read."
~Bette Davis, actress, on actress Joan Crawford

(the claws are out. Negates the nicest dame quote don't you think? ;)))

"I don't mind growing old. If I have to go before my time, this is how I'll go - cigarette in one hand, glass of scotch in the other."
~Ava Gardner, actress

"You shouldn't step on people to get ahead, but you can step over them if they are in the way."
~Star Jones, TV personality

(No helping hand from her!)

"Man's role is uncertain, undefined and perhaps unnecessary."
~ Margaret Mead, anthropologist

(deep.... Is she is talking of Men or of the Human Race?)

and finally from Mae West, actress
"Marriage is a great institution, but I'm not ready for an institution yet."

Ouch!

After a week of cleaning up, preparing for, cooking for, and having a celebration get-together for my dad's nameday, I am pooped and achy.

But bad luck Eleni - there's much to do. Today is clean up & crawling through emails day.

Tomorrow, probably study. Not long until D-day, that is, due date for finishing course . I'll probably also work on writing my Arts SA acquittal report. Almost there, but because I'm so tired, I'm not sure how it reads right now.

I'll leave you with a quote from The Quotable Bitch calendar, which I thought amusing:

"While gossip among women is universally ridiculed as low and trivial, gossip among men, especially if it is about women, is called theory, or idea, or fact."
-Andrea Dworkin, feminist activist.
