Owly friend

Other than running around for appointments & fighting of headaches by taking naps, not much is happening in my life.

Here's some lovely artwork with a snow-owl (from feebleminds.com).

A friend of mine has told me that she thinks of me when she sees owls, and gave me a lovely snow-owl snow globe. I love it!

Hopefully their symbol of wisdom will rub off on me *grin*

Hi Eleni,
I love owls. When we were in Tassie I visited the workshop of an artisan who worked with wood - boxes, mirrors, cabinets, etc.

He inlaid the lids of the boxes with his carvings of things such as gumnuts, kookaburras and owls.

He said he sold heaps of the owl boxes. I suppose they're like dolphins in that they appear to be clever, wise, and there is an aura of mystery surrounding them. And they're just beautiful creatures.

I hope that headache is gone - get some sleep!

we share that bird in common on our blogs!
I like to think that makes us wise... lol

Gorgeous pic - I do love the feebleminds site.

Hope you're feeling better soon - how is your neck? xo

Oh Shayne - oh how lovely to see an artisan's workshop. Ah yes, owls are the flying equivalent to a dolphin...never thought of it that way :)

LOL Mel - great minds think alike :)) Oh and we definitely are wise - aren't we? :)

Christina - yes I have to go check out some more piccies.

Oh and yes the headache & neck still playing up. Thanks for the well wishes ladies.

It seems a lot of people are thought of as owlish- I had the same thing occur to me at the latter end of high school when this girl I didn't even know bought me a hand carved wooden one and said I reminded her of an owl (I always hoped she meant that in a good way - you know strong, silent, independent, wise etc) and people then for all the years afterwards kept giving me owls....they are perched about our house, calmly surveying everything now.....along with the teapots, but that is another story.
Get thee a wheat pillow onto that neck of yours and a jasmine tea!

I am sure she meant it in a good way CAM. LOL re owls now being perched around your house.

Yes, wheat pillow would be good but the microwave has decided to call it a day. Having a massage in a few days so that always helps.
