I've just seen this challenge on Book Chick City website and so I am going to do this in 2010. I'm going to go for the highest number of books - Obsessed level - which is to read 24 Speculative Fiction books in 2010.
You can check out details on Book Chick City's blog post here.
Thanks Mel - yep it shouldn't be too hard to accomplish but my reading has really slowed down in the last month or so...let's hope it gets back up there in 2010.
I hope you had a great Christmas, Eleni. Good luck with your challenge. I signed up to do a challenge last year and failed dismally. I read lots of books, but I hate doing reviews. :)
Ah yes Shelley, reviews - I do very brief ones but the good thing about this one is that you don't have to do reviews unless you want to, which is just fine by me. I hate the 'have to' ones. For me it's about reading the books, not the reviewing.
Twenty four books is a huge challenge. If you've got long bus or train trips to and from work it's possible. Waiting in the doctor's surgery also provides an opportunity. But you don't want to be waiting in a doctor's surgery just so you can fulfill your goal!
Hey Shayne, funnily enough I do have a few appointments for my parents coming up in January so will make a start . I've actually almost read about 70 books this year, so I'm thinking 24 wouldn't be so bad - it's just making sure they fit the 'speculative fiction' tag. Though am feeling abit tired ATM so it's taking me longer to read things. But I will get there. :))

Good luck with this challenge Eleni - though it doesn't sound like a hardship!!
