Writing Buddy Wednesday - Claire Baxter

Claire Baxter writes for Harlequin Mills and Boon's Romance line (that's Sweet for those in Australia). She is a sweet lady who is always supportive of her fellow writers. Even now going onto the RWAus executive committee.

I met Claire via the SARA group a few years back and have been an admirer of hers since. She is not one to draw attention to herself, and she never complains. She may also be quiet but she has a wicked sense of humour.

Her books are sweet, have depth of character, and an all round good read. Definitely ones for a lazy afternoon reading.

She also writes short stories, which I regret to say I haven't read yet).

Her latest release was Her Mediterranean Makeover. Here's the blurb...

I'm forty, in France, on a first date: HELP!
I can't believe I'm on the Côte d'Azur and being taught an amazing man!

Jacques is making me feel young, sexy and special again - taking me all over the coast from Nice to Monaco. I feel like a superstar, not a tired old mum, and I wouldn't swap this feeling for the world.

Now I just have to decide what to wear on our first proper date! Wow - maybe life can begin at forty?

You can find Claire at her website and her blog.

Now here is some cover love...

Today, I'm going to have a giveaway. I have the Best Love Stories of 2009, featuring Claire's The Single Dad's Patchwork Family (which was a R*BY finalist) as well as stories by Paula Roe, Miranda Lee, Melissa James, Fiona McArthur, and Trish Morey.

So make a comment by Friday (9th) for your chance to win....
