Remembering Anzac Day

It's the 25th April, a date embedded into the Australian and New Zealand consciousness. A day of remembering the lives lost at Gallipoli, and in turn, in every battle since then.

I haven't visited Anzac Cove, but when in Italy, we visited a Commonwealth cemetery of soldiers who had fallen in the Second World War. It was a humbling and emotional experience seeing all the white headstones, all the young lives cut short.

Thank you to all those who gave their lives in service to their country. Lest We Forget.

Happy Easter

I can't believe it's Easter. Where has the time gone? Eeek.

And this is what we Greek Orthodox say at Easter - "Hristos Anesti".

Be safe and merry everyone.

Program interrupted

I've been really busy recently, mainly with personal matters, but I'm also undertaking an online editing course, and I'm part of the Clayton's conference team for the Romance Writers of Australia. I love brainstorming.

So, I have not had the time to do the Stunning Saturday and Super Sunday posts.

My brain is also in a fog lately, so everything seems to be taking longer than usual.

I will have the Darklight On spot on me next Saturday over at the Dark Side DownUnder blog.

Stunning Saturday

For the next couple of weeks I'll be showcasing James Griffin, artist and illustrator of some absolutely stunning covers.

You can find his work on his website and on his blog.

Firstly, one of the most gorgous covers I have seen - the cover for Denise Rossetti's The Flame and The Shadow.

James has also done the following two covers in Denise's Four Sided Pentagram series.

I just love them.

Here are some more covers:

Back Cover

Fantastic work don't you agree. Such superb use of colours and covers that suit the genre as well. I wish I could have a smidgeon of James' talent.

Come back next week for some more of James' wonderful creations.
