Old Story

A while back I mentioned that I wanted to add the stories I have published in the past onto my website. Well I haven't done them all but I have managed to place my story Apprentice Bound up.

It's now available as pdf file from here.

I have grown since then as a writer- my voice, my story telling, my grammar.  I was going to rework the story and submit but I think I want to concentrate on new stories with my short fiction market. That is stories that haven't been published anywhere. So I hope you enjoy a blast from the past.

I'll let you know when I get my other stories up there.

Blogging from the Bedroom

The blog post's title sounds like a romance novel doesn't it. Though while there is a love affair in this tale, it is of the platonic kind. The kind you have for things not people.

I am talking about my new MacBook Pro (the slowly going to be paid off MacBook). Yes finally!! I have coveted this for just as long as my iMac, perhaps longer and finally bit the bullet and purchased.

It's a 13" 2.4 GHz model - check the models out here.

Yes I am in love. The keyboard is comfortable for me. I love the Macs keys. I don't have to work as hard as other computer keyboards and that includes my netbook (EeePC) which caputed on me a couple of months back.

It's the perfect size for me in screen size and is portable and flexible to use. Since I have an iMac I didn't think I needed a huge screen to carry around with me. I am still getting use to the trackpad. They have so many options of what they can do, but seriously love, love, love this.

So is it a good thing I can blog from anywhere other than at my desk, especially at 2am? Hmmm....I'm really hoping this will be used for my writing, especially with NaNoWriMo coming up. Also being a CFS sufferer, I can jot things down when I'm resting or am feeling too sore for the desk.

Did I tell you how much I love my MacBook Pro? *wink*

Life...yep, yep, yep...

Uha - yes it's life getting in the way of blogging. But I've been good an keeping up with some polishing, so all is not lost. Today though I feel like a zombie - I always do after my chiropractic and massage appointment. And before you say oh lovely massage. This remedial massage, which bloody hurts. Ouch!!!

I always have a good sleep after and today was no exception but I'm still zonked so will not be doing too much until tomorrow afternoon I think.

In the meantime, I came across this on the Smart Bitches, Trashy books blog.

Librarians at it again!!! Libraries will survive.

You tube link

Who ever though librarians boring? Well I certainly don't (OK so I'm an ex-librarian...still *wink*)

I love my local library network. While a never ending stock of books would be lovely, it's a) not affordable and b) not feasible. So I borrow books and new to me authors from the library, as well as borrowing DVDs of movies and TV series.

Did I say I loved my library?

New blog on its way

I've had a couple of those really busy weeks, both with writing or writing related activities and also personal stuff.

One of the writing related activities is organising a new blog for the Paranormal group that I co-moderate. It will be a good news blog and I'm having a blast getting it set up.

I hope to have more news soon about its launch date, but it's called..
